The Mini Essentials package is designed for customers who want a clear boundary between essential electricity and high-consumption appliances. It combines approximately 1kW of inverter capacity with 1.28kWh of nominal battery storage. Solar panels are optional at this stage; without panels the system is primarily battery backup charged from the grid.

These figures are not guarantees. Appliances cycle on and off, refrigerators have startup current, battery settings differ, and daytime solar can extend runtime substantially when conditions are favourable.
Example simultaneous-load plan
A sensible essential-load plan starts with the devices that protect communication, food, security and work. Keep LED lighting, Wi-Fi, a television, office equipment and refrigeration on controlled circuits. Use high-power appliances one at a time only where the inverter rating allows it. The system must never be treated as unlimited electricity simply because the inverter has spare capacity at one moment.

Distribution-board design
The electrician should decide whether the property needs a separate essential-load DB, a larger hybrid-load DB or a carefully labelled section within an existing compliant board. At minimum, the design should address:

Can this package run a kettle?
No. A typical kettle exceeds the 1kW inverter rating.
Can it run a refrigerator?
A refrigerator can often be included, but its running wattage is not the whole story. The electrician or system designer should check startup current, age, condition and the combined load at the moment the compressor starts.
Can I add panels or batteries later?
Often yes, but expansion must remain within the inverter’s input, battery-current and communication limits. Batteries should normally be matched by model, capacity, condition and manufacturer guidance.
