Whitehouse Lighting And Electrical – Shipping Policy

At Whitehouse Lighting And Electrical, we take pride in getting your order to you quickly, safely, and with complete transparency. Whether you’re nearby or abroad, we aim to make every delivery simple and reliable.

1. Shipping Origin:
All orders are shipped or collected from our store at:

2. Order Processing & Dispatch:
  • Orders are prepared and dispatched once payment is received and stock availability is confirmed.
  • Orders placed Monday–Friday before 3:00 PM are shipped the same day.
  • Orders placed after 3:00 PM, on weekends, or public holidays are shipped on the next working day.
  • After dispatch, you’ll receive:
    • A tracking number, and
    • A live tracking link to monitor your parcel’s journey.
If there’s any unexpected delay, we’ll contact you right away to discuss the best solution — whether that’s a revised delivery, a refund, or a replacement.

3. Local Collection & Own Courier Option:
  • Customers in the Trichardt, Secunda or surrounding areas may choose local pickup at our store.
  • You may also arrange your own courier to collect from our premises. Please email orders@whitehouselightingandelectrical.co.za after placing your order so we can coordinate the pickup.
Pickup hours:
Monday – Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
(Friday 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM: Closed)
Saturday: 8:30 AM – 1:00 PM
Sundays and Public Holidays: Closed

4. Domestic Shipping (South Africa)
Delivery Timeframes:

General delivery takes 1-6 working days. Orders to main centres are usually delivered within 1-3 working days, while outlying areas may take 2-6 working days. Delivery times may vary depending on courier schedules or weather conditions. We always dispatch orders as soon as possible, and any exceptions or delays outside this timeframe will be followed up directly with the courier and communicated to the customer.

Shipping Costs:
  • Orders of R1,500 and Above → Free delivery
  • Orders below R1,500 → A Flat rate of R120
  • Oversized or heavy items (such as solar equipment or large fittings) may have additional fees, which will be quoted before dispatch.
Courier Partners:
We ship through Bob Go’s trusted network of courier partners, including:
  • The Courier Guy
  • RAM Couriers
  • Fastway
  • Aramex (express service)
Deliveries are made to physical addresses only (no P.O. Boxes). Someone must be available to sign for the parcel upon delivery.

5. International Shipping (By arrangement):
We do not ship Internationally but can request a quote for you with Aramex or you may do so your self and collect. Kindly note you will have to pay your own customs and duties as well.

6. Tracking & Delivery Updates:
Once your parcel is dispatched, we’ll send you an email with your tracking number.
If tracking updates don’t appear within 72 hours, please contact us — we’ll follow up directly with the courier and keep you informed.

7. Delays, Damages & Missing Parcels:
If your parcel is delayed, lost, or arrives damaged, notify us as soon as possible.
We’ll liaise with our courier partners to investigate and, if necessary, replace or refund your order promptly.
Please include your order number and photos (for damaged parcels) to help us resolve it faster.

8. Customer Responsibilities:
  • Ensure your shipping details are correct at checkout.
  • Keep your tracking details for reference.
  • Arrange for someone to receive the parcel at the delivery address.
We are not responsible for delays caused by incorrect addresses, missed deliveries, or courier network disruptions, but we will always assist in resolving any issues.
